Abstract

A new method for generating ultra-fine charged solid particles were investigated. The particles were generated from liquid ink droplets. The diameter and the charge of obtained particles are 0.14 to 0.89 /spl mu/m and 9 /spl times/ 10/sup -18/ to 8 /spl times/ 10/sup -16/ C respectively. Using the particles, charge distributions of fine electret fibers were visualized.
