The research was based on scientific articles indexed in the SciELO, Google Scholar, PubMed and Virtual Health Library databases. The inclusion criteria were works published between 2010 and 2022, written in Portuguese, English and Spanish that were in accordance with the proposed theme. This work addresses concepts related to \"Maxillary Sinus Anatomy\", \"Foreign Body in the Maxillary Sinus\", \"Virtual Planning in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery\" and \"Guided Surgery\". From the results obtained, it is possible to perceive that digital dentistry supports the planning and surgical treatment in the oral and maxillofacial scope, and its advantages are proven by the literature and also by the report presented here.
