Abstract
In this paper the specific elements of the prototype version of the distributed diagnostic expert system for telecommunications equipment (Polish name: RESDUT) with reference to a particular testing network were described (by applying the formal mechanisms in the form of operational structures that are utilised in the design process). This system uses expert system aided decision making processes in the scope of ensuring the quality of measurements in the diagnosis process and management of the measurement quality control and verification process in respect of high complexity electronic equipment.
