Abstract

We propose a knowledge base design by using Semantic Web languages to provide automatic service composition for network operation support. A knowledge base is designed based on the Shared Information/Data (SID) model described in OWL. In this design, a Service in the SID model (e.g., QoS) is defined as a network service that represents a logical functionality of resources having some operation services. An operation service is defined as an OWL-S Service for operating each network service. In addition, constraints on resources that implement particular network services (e.g., QoS on Trails) having particular operation services are studied.
