The more important point is that the two slots have weak mutual coupling to be tuned individually and randomly, and the notched frequencies can be easily designed to fit for the different wireless standards. Abstract

A novel UWB printed monopole antenna with dual notched bands for WiMAX and WLAN applications is presented.
