Abstract

The new models of the fractal ultra-wideband (FUWB) signals based on the set of continuous, non-differentiable functions in time domain were proposed. Using the continuous wavelet analysis method and the wavelet transform module maxima method, for each FUWB signal model proposed the time-frequency structure was investigated, the box and the regularization fractal dimensions were estimated. The peculiarities, advantages and disadvantages of each new FUWB signal model were found and discussed. The new FUWB signal models were shown to be a useful addition to the existing FUWB signal model set.
