Abstract
Coherent semiconductor sources based on flared amplifiers — monolithic and discrete MOPAs and flared unstable resonators have demonstrated the highest cw diffraction-limited output powers from semiconductor sources at wavelengths from 630 nm to beyond 2 μm.
