IMAGINATIVE SPECIFICATIONS OF LOOK IN MONGOLIAN LANGUAGES

Abstract

The article examines figurative words of Mongolian languages, which characterize the glance and appeared in result of verbalization of visual perception. The author applies semantics of figurative words to the meanings of so called basic words of obscure etymology, particularly the verbs of seeing. It’s revealed that the tremulous sonant [r] in stems reflects the idea of eye shine.
