Abstract

The Arctic attracts the attention of many countries around the world because it is rich in hydrocarbons. To conduct exploration for hydrocarbons, researchers need electricity. Traditionally, diesel or gasoline generators are used to generate electricity in the circumpolar region. Fuel delivery is costly, and environmental pollution occurs during the operation of electric generators. Wind generators and solar power plants can be used as alternative sources of electricity.
