On Simplified Optical Disk Cluster Drive

Abstract

Although hard disk drives are mostly used for cluster drives, optical disk cluster drive has advantage.[1] The removability of the disks can make cost per magabyte low. This characteristics is especially important for storing video data in video on demand system. This paper describes the simplification of structure of the optical disk cluster drive.
