Therefore, the proposed sensor can measure water salinity with selectable sensitivity depending on the wavelength windows used for spectral interrogation. Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate a fiber-optic sensor for monitoring water salinity in desalination processes with selectable sensitivity.
