Analysis of Moving Clouds Direction and Velocity by Statistical Features

Abstract

The article considers an approach of determination of clouds statistical features: direction and velocity of displacement. Satellite maps are being processed to get cloudiness segments of different intensity. Multilevel segmentation and a clustering algorithm are used to precise cloudiness distribution. Coordinates of cloudiness are being calculated. Their accuracy depends from a step of grid covering the image.
