Abstract

GYROTRON III (1) can provide more than 10 W of cw power over the frequency range 75 to 330 GHz. It has been used as a source in a millimeter-wave far-forward scattering experiment to observe scattering from density fluctuations associated with Mirnov oscillations in the department's TORTUS tokamak (2).
