Abstract

Two novel optimization based schemes for MEC offloading, optimized OMA (O-OMA), and hybrid NOMA with user selection (H-NOMA-S), are introduced in this paper. For O-OMA, we provide an analytical solution to the optimization problem. The energy efficiency results of the proposed schemes are compared with the schemes given in the literature. We show that O-OMA improves the classical OMA, and that H-NOMA-S performs equal to or better than the methods in the literature.
