Abstract

This work studies the operation of Series partial power converter (S-PPC) based on the push-pull configuration at abnormal conditions. Protection devices are mandatory in PPC system design to avoid overdesigning process to eliminate the effect of abnormal transient modes. By adding simple protection devices, system size and cost to be maintained at minimum. A solid state circuit breaker is implemented for protection purposes. Leakage current, common mode voltage and operation at different fault conditions are studied in this work
