Abstract

This paper proposes a high performance control method based on the Lookup Tables (LUT) for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (IPMSM) in the Electric Vehicles (EV) application. The two-dimensional current LUTs are used to generate the current references according to the torque command and flux linkage limitation. The nonlinear IPMSM model based on the stator flux is established and the optimal operational regions are analyzed.
