Abstract

The performance of long-range (LoRa) networks is investigated in the present paper. Particularly, we study and optimize the performance of the potential rate and average lifetime of an end device (ED). To be more precise, we take into account all operation states of an ED. Additionally, tools from stochastic geometry (SG) are employed to model the positions of the EDs. We then study the performance of the potential rate.
