Abstract

This paper is dedicated to the research and development of quantization methods for wavelet-based video codec. Uniform, nonlinear quantization method and their potential applications for wavelet-based video codec Dirac have been investigated. The optimized quantization method for wavelet-based video codec have been proposed based on analysis of the processing results for various video types using quantization methods mentioned above.
