The heterogeneous computing challenge (Mini symposium)

Abstract

The goal of the Heterogeneous Computing Challenge is to demonstrate state-of-the-art heterogeneous processing utilizing SCInet, the network infrastructure on the exhibition floor of Supercomputing ’93, through a friendly competition. The participants developed significant applications accessing the various computing systems on the exhibition floor and elsewhere over the several SCInet networks. They also participated in the Ld4ans FunRun, a heterogeneous “race”.
