PEMG (plasma electromagnetic generator) allows to achieve the direct conversion of plasma stream energy to monochromatic microwave radiation by the decelerating plasma in a transverse magnetic field. The plasma stream moves through the transverse magnetic field with near-constant velocity as the drift flow. Ions of the plasma stream are ahead of the electrons and form longitudinal polarization of the plasma stream. Longitudinal electric field provides the conversion of ion kinetic energy to energy of rotating electron. The kinetic energy of the plasma stream transforms to the microwave radiation.
