Abstract

Offset quadrature amplitude modulation-based filter bank multicarrier (OQAM-FBMC) is a promising waveform for future wireless communication systems. Despite its numerous advantages, OQAM-FBMC suffers from high signal distortions in a doubly selective channel where a simple equalization is not sufficient to deal with this issue. In this paper, we propose a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) scheme with integrated MMSE equalizer to improve the efficiency of OQAM-FBMC technique.
