Analysis of the market of sanatorium and resort services in the system of tourist activity in Ukraine

Abstract

The study analyzes the state of the resort and recreational industry, established the dependence of the impact of socio-economic factors on its development in the national market of tourist services. The general characteristic of specialized tourist and recreational means of accommodation in Ukraine as of 2018 is given. To analyze the dependence of the domestic resort and recreational industry on various social and economic factors, a set of factor values that potentially affect the state and development of this market was selected. Among the main indicators of factor assessment, it is established that the total cost of stay of all accommodated persons during the year, the number of accommodated vacationers, the number of resort and recreational specialized accommodation, morbidity, number of economically active population, average monthly wages, gross regional product. Using correlation and regression analysis, the relationship between the indicators that characterize the factors of development of the resort and recreational industry and the amount of income from services provided by resort and recreational accommodation in the regions of Ukraine. The closest connection between the analyzed factors is observed between the income from the services provided by resort and recreational specialized accommodation facilities and the cost of accommodation. The analysis of the functioning of the resort and recreational industry showed the uneven distribution of demand for resort and tourist services in the national market. It is investigated that in the near future and in the long run we should expect the development of the resort and recreational industry with an average annual dynamic of 2–3 %.
