Prospects for the development of organic agriculture in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in context of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

Abstract

Аннотация. Сельское хозяйство исторически закрепилось как традиционное занятие населения Якутии, но несмотря на это, оно является одним из самых проблемных секторов экономики в силу природно-климатических, территориальных и других особенностей республики. Несмотря на относительный рост по некоторым показателям основных направлений, из-за отсутствия нововведений нынешнее состояние сельского хозяйства можно охарактеризовать как стагнирующее. Отрасли требуются нововведения, которые должны сподвигнуть к новому витку развития. Одним из таких нововведений может стать органическое сельское хозяйство. Органическое сельское хозяйство является мировым трендом, которое практикуется уже в более 180 странах мира, и их количество с каждым годом увеличивается. Изначальной причиной популяризации стала интенсификация сельского хозяйства в середине прошлого века, которая решила множество проблем, связанных с обеспечением продовольствия во всем мире, но с другой стороны, спровоцировала появление множества других проблем глобального масштаба, в основном связанных с ухудшением экологии. С течением времени первоначальная причина популяризации, связанная с окружающей средой, не отошла на задний план и все также остается актуальной. Однако в последующем стали выделять социальные и экономические преимущества органического сельского хозяйства, которые в настоящее время в совокупности привлекают все больше внимания со стороны государств, производителей и потребителей. В статье проанализировано текущее состояние органического сельского хозяйства в мире и влияние на него пандемии коронавирусной инфекции, поспособствовавшей появлению новых тенденций, которые в ближайшие годы могут внести серьезные изменения в развитие органического производства в мире. Данные тенденции могут затронуть как территории, где производство органической продукции уже практикуется, так и теоретически перспективные территории с точки зрения появления и дальнейшего развития органического сельского хозяйства, в которых оно пока не практикуется. Due to the lack of innovations, the current state of agriculture can be described as stagnant. The industry needs innovations, which should lead to a new round of development, one of which can be organic agriculture. Organic agriculture is a global trend, which has been practiced in more than 180 countries around the world, and their number is increasing every year. The initial reason for the popularization was the intensification of agriculture in the middle of the last century, which solved many problems associated with ensuring food throughout the world, but on the other hand, it also provoked the emergence of many other problems of a global scale, mainly related to the deterioration of the environment. Over time, the original reason for the popularization related to the environment did not recede into the background and still remains relevant, but also later they began to highlight the social and economic benefits of organic agriculture, which at present, all together, collectively attract more and more attention from states, producers and consumers. The article analyzes the current state of organic agriculture in the world and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, which has contributed to the emergence of new trends that in the coming years may make major changes in the development of organic production in the world. These trends include both the territory where the production of organic products is already being practiced, and theoretical promising territories, from the point of view of the prospects for the development of agriculture.
