Abstract
The importance of micro-crystalline silicon and n+ amorphous silicon thin films for the photo-conducting dipole antenna application is investigated in this paper. Photo-conducting dipole antennas have been fabricated and tested. These antennas are capable of detecting pico-second pulses and radiate electrical pulses which have a frequency spectra that extends to greater than 430GHz.
