Abstract

This paper describes a mathematical model to determine the equivalent circuit parameters of Axial Flux Disc Machines (AFDMs) of whatever configuration. Once fixed the dimensions of the machine (magnet width, winding lengths, axial thickness, etc.), the equivalent inductance and resistance and finally the current are calculated, for a generator operation mode.
