Abstract

For many years, wireless data transmission has posed a significant challenge to medical sensor developers, where instrument cabling is a major inconvenience for physicians and patients alike. This area of research requires modern data transmission technologies to be used to improve equipment that allows assessing and measuring the kinematic characteristics of the patient. In this paper, data transmission software from an inertial measurement system to an iOS mobile application using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is described along with the sensor calibration procedure of the measurement system, and the main metrological characteristics are determined.
