Abstract

Sensor Networks (SNs) provide new opportunities to improve our monitoring of environmental sustainability. In addition, they were compatible with remote sensing techniques which can process several aspects of environmental sustainability effects. Recently, researchers over the world try to cover most goals of environmental sustainability such as climate change effects, pollution, disasters, health care, etc. This research gives an overview of the scientific works that have been done in this field to further direction plans for the scientists who are interested in this field. The objective of this work is to review the progress of SNs and remote sensing and the last applications of these techniques in the areas of environmental monitoring along with remote sensing data.
