Hepatoselüler Karsinomlu Olguda Transkateter Arteryal Kemoembolizasyon Tedavisi Sonrası Herpes Zoster Enfeksiyonu

Abstract

Seventy one-years-old male patient admitted to our clinic with recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in left lobe of liver. In his story transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) was performed twice with the diagnosis of hepatitis B induced liver cirrhosis and HCC. After successfull TACE procedure patient was discharged. Four days later patient admitted with vesiculobullous lesions at procedure place. The patient was started antiviral therapy with the diagnosis of herpes zoster and lesions ameliorated. Herpes zoster infection due to trauma, malignancy or chemotherapeutic agents must be kept in mind after TACE procedure in HCC patients.
