Simulation and analysis of fine resolution SAR images in urban areas

Abstract

This paper provides a preliminary discussion on the simulation and the analysis of fine resolution SAR data in urban areas. It presents a very interesting data set obtained by means of a precise SAR simulator and some road extraction results on the same data set. Despite some possible improvements, the research shows the huge potentiality of SAR data for urban area mapping and monitoring.
