Abstract

Research on teaching with Twitter points to a variety of educational benefits to engagement and learning. Tweeting encourages a backchannel discussion of class topics and activities, and it has the potential to expand learning in interesting ways. A constellation of emerging best practices offers helpful guidance for instructors and paves the way for effective implementation in both online and face-to-face courses.
