Abstract

A promising way of achieving very high data rates is to use multiple antennas at both the transmitter and the receiver (MIMO). In this paper, we aim to develop a new indoor MIMO model that combines the accuracy of wave propagation analysis with the efficiency of a statistical description of the multipath. We propose here a two-ring indoor MIMO channel representation, based on single bounce scattering that provides a tractable channel characterization.
