Research and development are taking place all over the world to improve BER performance in OFDM-IDMA receiver by developing the effective Multiuser Detection algorithm. Abstract

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing and Interleaved Division Multiple Access is a hybrid communication system. This system has been receiving significant research attention due to their ability to address the problems like Inter symbol Interference and the Multiple Access Interference. This method is most widely used in various fourth generation wireless communication systems. In this paper, we present a comprehensive survey on OFDM-IDMA for wireless communications. Basics of OFDM-IDMA and techniques to improve the performance of OFDM-IDMA system are addressed here. Research and development are taking place all over the world to improve BER performance in OFDM-IDMA receiver by developing the effective Multiuser Detection algorithm. The Monte Carlo simulation method to measure the BER of the OFDM-IDMA system is proposed in this paper.
