Abstract

This study examined the existence of order effect on the driver's perception in the point-basis evaluation of the quality of traffic service. It is found that there exists order effect in the point-basis evaluation by using the controlled evaluation data and the driver's utility data, and the precision of the model is improved by considering order effect. Also the model which estimates a section-based evaluation from an average and a maximum of a set of point-basis evaluation in a certain section is developed With these results, it is shown that the point-basis evaluation of the quality of traffic service can be estimated from a micro-scopic traffic conditions.
