Abstract

The consolidation of vegetation cover by three classes of soil cover according to the UN classification (grass + shrub + trees) on the territory of the subjects of the Russian Federation is proposed in this article. The assessment of land consolidation is carried out (in descending order) by the total ecological coefficient, which is calculated as the ratio of the vegetation share on land to the share of anthropogenically changed land. The identification method revealed 20 wavelets of the rating. By the authors, the last 46 regions need to radically change the structure of land use.
