The proposed scheme provides fairness and efficiency in the aspect of quality of service (QoS) for the 2 classes of traffic, and also guarantees the priority of class 0 calls over class 1 calls. The efficiency is provided by the Pareto optimality requirement while fairness is achieved by satisfying the concept of equilibrium point and arbitration scheme. Moreover, the way to generate the Pareto boundary is demonstrated. Abstract

The concept of fairness and efficiency is an important performance issue in the mobile networks with multimedia services.
