Abstract

High-pressure study of spin-crossover phenomenon in two-dimensional Hoffmann-like complex [Fe(Fpz)2Pt(CN)4] have been carried out by high-pressure experimental techniques including magnetics, powder X-ray diffraction, Raman, Infrared and visible absorption spectroscopy. A complete phase diagram (T, P) for the compound has been obtained. The transition temperature for spin transitions is linearly dependent on pressure, but the hysteresis width shows non-monotonic behavior that differs from theoretical predictions.
