Remote Control for Smart Home Applications

Abstract

This paper presents some basic concepts about what smart home means, why it is necessary to build such a home in the future, but also the available technologies in order to automate different processes. After an extended comparative study, the paper focuses on the less intrusive ones and presents in detail a case study for automation a smart home process. The presented case can be applied to most of the scenarios constituting a base for future references.
