Abstract

In the paper an analysis of the fractional-order backward difference and linear time-invariant difference equations based on the mentioned difference is considered. The analysis is focused on a solution realized by a microcontroller. The problem of the so called “calculation tail” is analyzed. The solutions are compared with these obtained in Matlab. The considerations are important in the context of the fractional-order PID controller real-time implementation.
