Abstract

This paper proposer a new control method for PWM rectifiers. The main goal of the system is to obtain unity power factor, sinusoidal input currents and constant output voltage with a cheap design. The system chooses the switching patterns and their duty cycles on the basis of the output voltage error using a fuzzy logic feed-forward input currents controller. More in detail, it calculates the switching vector reference and determines the converter duty cycles pattern. The resulting controller is very simple and inexpensive and gives satisfactory performances.
