Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the number of kanban in the pull system for automotive axle mixed-model production line. The number of Kanban composes of the cycle stock kanban, buffer stock kanban, and safety stock kanban. The results show that the parameters affecting the number of kanban must have to be controlled to meet customer demand. The parameters involving the kanban number are the cycle time, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, safety stock factor, changeover time and Every Part Every Interval.
