Abstract
Accurately identifying the event detected by the nodes is one of the important characteristics of event-driven applications in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). In a resource-constrained WSN, event identification plays a significant role in identifying similar events reported by the sensor nodes placed in close proximity to each other.
