Abstract
Clinical information systems are indispensable for the effective functioning of organizations of the health sector, a quality information system is required for an organization to make health quality management. The continuing need for integration processes within organizations and the increasingly evident need for an integrated health system, shows that information from different health organizations should be sharing para give dynamism to a system Colombian health. This article discusses approaches to the issue of interoperability from two topics namely informational organizational interoperability and interoperability. The first shows that the organizations of the health sector and tend to the implementation of process-based approach to manage protected in quality management systems and the second required technological options that allow interoperability of computer systems in each organization. In the first part of this document sets out a methodology to address organizational interoperability from a process approach, and the second hand there is a research exercise that takes a closer technological interoperability of XML from a year prior to study of computer interoperability standards.
