Abstract

The rapid development of distributed generation (DG) in distribution network challenges the traditional distribution network planning method. In this paper, a new distribution network planning method is proposed. The proposed model optimizes line capacities, DGs' locations and capacities, and considering network reconfiguration simultaneously. Then the model is transformed into a mixed integer linear programming problem so that it can be solved by existing commercial solver. To validate its effectiveness, the proposed joint planning of DG and distribution network model considering reconfiguration is tested on the IEEE 33-bus distribution network system.
