Abstract
Highly qualified staff have always been in strong demand. This also applies to the nuclear industry, especially in its rapid development. Quality assurance as a mechanism to ensure a comprehensive security sector is a priority. Training, retraining and skills development for the management, maintenance and quality assurance for nuclear facilities is a separate system task. The successful delivery of such a dedicated and centralised training and staff development in quality can only be done systematically. Such a system is being created by NPP Construction Quality Management Division of State Atomic Energy Corporation ‘Rosatom’. To implement the key steps involved in creating a system of industry-specialised organisations such as Central Institute for Continuing Education and Training (CICE&T), Obninsk, as well as leading experts in the field of security, management and quality control in the nuclear industry.
