Animal experimentation allows advanced studies in basic and applied research in the most different areas. The use of animals is still necessary to obtain unknown biological responses, especially using animal model such as mice. However, for the research to be carried out satisfactorily, it is necessary to follow ethical procedures, principally by using the humanitarian principle (Reduce, Refine and Replace) and looking for animal welfare.
