Abstract

Rickets is a chemodystrophic, hyperplastic osteopathy of young animals, determined by a disorder of phosphocal­cium metabolism, characterized by a lack of mineralization and bone deformation, with the persistence of conjugation  cartilage and thickening of the epiphyses.
