Abstract

Bowtie antennas integrated with a pair of stubs and meanders are proposed for HTS YBCO Josephson junction impedance matching. A pair of stubs are used for small impedance matching, while the pairs of meanders are used to tune the reactance of impedance as a coupled impedance network with the stub. The results show that two pairs of meanders affect the reactance while keeping the resistance nearly unchanged. In addition, this antenna keeps symmetrical radiation patterns even with the pair of meanders asymmetrically introduced into the bowtie antenna over the bandwidth.
