Abstract

The object of the research is a modified Bloom filter with counters representing the probabilistic data structure that contains information about the items in a data store. As a result of filter operation false-negative responses are excluded, however occurrence of false-positives is possible. The system is developed in Java using jCuda libraries to parallelize the algorithm on GPGPU systems. The article presents the mathematical evaluation of the probability of false-positives for the modified Bloom filter with counters.
