The technology, called diesel no-break, has been successfully installed and operating for many years around the world. Hitec Power Protection of the Netherlands developed this technology over three decades ago. Only in the last few years have US facility managers discovered this dependable, cost effective alternative to conventional battery-based UPS systems. Diesel no-break systems provide clean continuous, extended power outage protection, which enables customers to avoid costly surges and sags in their critical load power. US facility managers and engineers cite reliability and power quality as the major criteria in choosing this technology. Reliability is enhanced by lower parts count, which translates to less maintenance and coordination with fewer suppliers. Hitec's ISO9001 certification ensures stringent quality control in the design and manufacturing of the system.
