Abstract

In this paper, we propose a layered lossless video coding scheme based on the Slepian-Wolf (SW) theorem. Motion JPEG2000 is performed as the base layer coder for real-time streaming and a SW coder is used as the enhancement layer coder. The computation burden is shifted to the network side so this scheme achieves low-complexity encoding. The proposed SW coder significantly improves the prediction accuracy of Side Information (SI).
